What to do:

1. Rely on organic search results

Rely on organic search results in the serp of google

When searching for a wedding videographer online, one of the most reliable methods is to rely on organic search results. Organic search results are the non-paid listings that appear based on their relevance to your search query. Here’s why this approach is beneficial:

  1. Relevance and credibility: Organic search results are ranked based on the search engine’s algorithms, which prioritize websites that are relevant and reliable. By choosing from the top organic results, you are more likely to find videographers who have established themselves in the industry and have a solid online presence.

  2. Quality and professionalism: Videographers who appear in the organic search results often invest time and effort into search engine optimization (SEO) to ensure their website ranks higher. This dedication signifies their commitment to their craft and professionalism. Explore their websites to get a sense of their style, portfolio, and the services they offer.

  3. User reviews and testimonials: Websites of videographers listed in the organic results often include customer reviews and testimonials. These reviews provide valuable insights into the videographer’s skills, work ethic, and customer satisfaction. Reading through genuine feedback from previous clients can help you assess their suitability for your wedding.

  4. Local search: Organic search results also take into account your location, making it easier to find videographers who are available in your area (like when you’re in Italy to see the venue). This is particularly helpful if you prefer to work with someone local or if you have specific venue requirements.

While relying on organic search results is a great starting point, it’s important to conduct further research to ensure the videographer meets your specific needs and preferences. Visit their websites, view their sample videos, and reach out to them directly to discuss your requirements and inquire about their availability.

Remember, finding the right wedding videographer is a crucial decision as they will capture and preserve the memories of your special day. By relying on organic search results, you can increase your chances of finding a talented professional who aligns with your vision and provides a high-quality service.

2. Check Google Maps reviews

Check Google Maps reviews when search for wedding videographers in italy

Another effective method to evaluate a wedding videographer online is by checking their Google Maps reviews. Google Maps provides a platform for customers to share their experiences and rate businesses, including wedding videographers. Here’s why checking Google Maps reviews can be helpful:

  1. Authentic customer feedback: Google Maps reviews are written by real customers who have engaged the services of the videographer. These reviews offer genuine insights into their experiences, professionalism, and the quality of their work. Reading through a variety of reviews can give you a comprehensive understanding of what you can expect from the videographer.

  2. Overall rating and average scores: Google Maps displays an overall rating for each business, usually ranging from one to five stars. This rating is calculated based on the cumulative scores provided by customers. It provides a quick snapshot of the videographer’s overall reputation and customer satisfaction. Look for videographers with higher ratings, as they are more likely to deliver a positive experience.

  3. Detailed reviews and descriptions: In addition to the overall rating, customers can leave detailed reviews that explain their experiences in more depth. Pay attention to these reviews as they may highlight specific strengths or areas for improvement. Look for comments about the videographer’s communication skills, punctuality, creativity, and ability to capture the essence of the wedding day.

  4. Responses from the videographer: Some videographers actively engage with their customers by responding to Google Maps reviews. Pay attention to how the videographer addresses any negative feedback or concerns. Responsiveness and professionalism in handling customer reviews can be indicative of their commitment to customer satisfaction.

While Google Maps reviews provide valuable insights, it’s important to consider the overall consensus rather than relying solely on one or two reviews. Take note of any recurring themes or patterns in the feedback to form a balanced assessment of the videographer’s capabilities and customer service.

By checking Google Maps reviews, you can gain a better understanding of the videographer’s reputation, professionalism, and the level of satisfaction among their previous clients. It serves as an additional layer of information to help you make an informed decision when choosing a wedding videographer.

3. Utilize social networks

Utilize social networks like facebook groups

In the quest to find a reliable wedding videographer online, utilizing social networks can be an invaluable tool. Platforms like Instagram and Facebook offer unique opportunities to explore videographers’ portfolios, engage with their content, and connect with others in the wedding community. Here’s how you can effectively utilize social networks:

  1. Instagram for visual inspiration: Instagram is a visual platform that thrives on photography and videography. Use relevant hashtags such as #italianweddingvideographer or #weddingvideographeritaly to discover talented videographers. Follow local wedding photography and videography accounts to stay updated on their work and gain inspiration for your own wedding. Browse through their posts and stories to get a sense of their style, creativity, and storytelling abilities.

  2. Engage with content: Like, comment, and share posts that resonate with you. By engaging with videographers’ content, you not only show appreciation for their work but also establish a connection. Videographers often respond to comments, allowing you to start a conversation and ask questions about their services or availability. This interaction can provide valuable insights into their responsiveness and communication style.

  3. Facebook groups: Joining Facebook groups dedicated to weddings can be a goldmine of information and recommendations. These groups often have active communities of engaged couples, newlyweds, and wedding professionals. Seek recommendations for wedding videographers from group members who have personal experience working with them. You can also post specific requirements or questions to receive suggestions tailored to your needs.

  4. Direct messaging: Social networks provide a convenient way to directly communicate with videographers. Send them a direct message on Instagram or Facebook to inquire about their availability, pricing, and any specific requirements you have for your wedding. This personal interaction can help you assess their responsiveness, professionalism, and willingness to accommodate your needs.

While social networks offer great opportunities for discovering and connecting with wedding videographers, it’s essential to conduct thorough research before making a final decision. Visit their websites, review their portfolios, and read additional reviews to ensure they align with your vision and requirements.

By utilizing social networks, you can tap into a vast network of wedding professionals, gain inspiration, and connect with videographers who resonate with your style and preferences. This active engagement can provide a deeper understanding of their work and help you find the perfect wedding videographer for your special day.

What to avoid:

4. Avoid relying solely on paid advertising

Avoid relying solely on paid advertising

When searching for a wedding videographer online, it’s important to be cautious and avoid relying solely on paid advertising. While paid advertisements can increase visibility, they don’t always guarantee the best quality or reliability. Here’s why it’s advisable to look beyond paid ads:

  1. Quality and expertise: Paid advertising doesn’t necessarily reflect the videographer’s skill or expertise. It simply means they have invested in advertising their services. Remember, a talented videographer may not have a large advertising budget but can still deliver exceptional work. Focusing solely on paid ads may limit your options and overlook hidden gems in the industry.

  2. Budgetary impact: Videographers who heavily invest in paid advertising often pass those costs onto clients. Their rates may be higher compared to equally competent videographers who rely on other means of promotion. By expanding your search beyond paid ads, you can find professionals who offer quality services at a more reasonable price.

  3. Limited information: Paid ads usually provide limited information about the videographer. These advertisements typically contain brief descriptions and a few images, which may not be sufficient to evaluate their style, experience, or customer satisfaction. Relying solely on such ads can lead to a lack of comprehensive information when making your decision.

  4. Explore organic search results: Organic search results, as mentioned earlier, provide a broader range of options and often feature more established and reputable videographers. These results are based on relevance rather than advertising budgets, allowing you to explore a wider pool of professionals and make a more informed decision.

While it’s important to acknowledge that paid advertising has its place in promoting businesses, it’s advisable not to solely rely on it when searching for a wedding videographer. Instead, consider a combination of methods like organic search results, customer reviews, portfolio assessments, and personal recommendations to ensure you find the right videographer who aligns with your vision and requirements.

Remember, your wedding day is a significant event, and choosing the right videographer will ensure that your precious memories are captured flawlessly. By looking beyond paid advertising, you can find a skilled professional who offers exceptional services and fits within your budget.

5. Steer clear of unvetted platforms

unvetted platforms for wedding videographers

When searching for a wedding videographer online, it is crucial to steer clear of unvetted platforms, especially those that offer visibility in exchange for money. These platforms may prioritize paid listings over genuine quality, making it difficult to distinguish between experienced professionals and those who simply paid for their position. Here’s why it’s advisable to avoid such platforms:

  1. Lack of quality control: Platforms that allow videographers to pay for visibility often lack rigorous vetting processes. They may accept listings from anyone willing to pay, regardless of their expertise or experience. As a result, the quality and reliability of videographers found on these platforms can vary significantly. This can put you at risk of hiring an inexperienced or unprofessional videographer who may not meet your expectations.

  2. Biased recommendations: On platforms that prioritize paid listings, the term “best videographer” can be misleading. It does not necessarily reflect the actual quality or reputation of the videographer. Instead, it may indicate that the videographer paid a premium for that designation. This can make it challenging to identify genuinely skilled professionals who have earned their reputation through their work and satisfied clients.

  3. Limited information and transparency: Platforms that prioritize paid visibility often provide limited information about videographers. Detailed portfolios, customer reviews, and comprehensive profiles may be absent or limited in scope. This lack of transparency can make it difficult to assess the videographer’s style, capabilities, and overall professionalism, hindering your ability to make an informed decision.

To avoid the pitfalls of unvetted platforms, it’s recommended to rely on trusted sources and alternative methods of research. Seek recommendations from friends, family, or other couples who have recently hired wedding videographers. Consult reputable directories or industry-specific websites that thoroughly vet and curate their listings based on quality and expertise.

Additionally, consider using the methods discussed earlier, such as organic search results, Google Maps reviews, and social networks, to find wedding videographers who have established themselves through their skills and positive customer feedback.

Conclusion

Finding a wedding videographer online can be a rewarding experience if done carefully. By following these five tips, you can navigate the process without taking unnecessary risks. Remember to rely on organic search results, utilize Google Maps reviews, and leverage social media platforms to discover talented videographers. Additionally, avoid relying solely on paid advertising and exercise caution when using unvetted platforms. By investing time in your search, you can find a wedding videographer who will beautifully capture with the video the cherished moments of your special day.

In some places drone use is unfortunately not permitted. In that case we will use 4K stock aerial footage of the location.

In a wedding we generally stay from 8 to 10 hours. For an elopement the service time ranges from 4 to 6 hours.

Obviously it is possible to create a tailor-made contract for you in order to cover the entire event (welcome dinner, night party, post and pre wedding experiences).

Yes, you can make some small changes to the video such as scene changes. It is not possible to change the music because the music is always chosen by the couple before starting the assembly phase.

We always give the couple the choice of two important things:
the music and the parts of the speeches.

The music can be chosen by the couple before or after the wedding day.

For the speeches, however, we send the couple all the videos of the speeches and the couple can tell us the most important minutes they want to have in the video.

In this way we try to create a product that is as close to what the couple would like to receive.

Obviously this is not a requirement. If the couple doesn’t want to do this, they can totally rely on our personal taste.

With our videography studio, we do not directly offer photographic service. However, we do offer the “Film Frames” service, which consists of about 100+ images (vertical and horizontal) in 4k from our clips. This allows you to have one team at your event, one image style and cut the cost in half. Alternatively, we will be happy to recommend some professional photographers with whom we frequently work throughout Italy.
