The intimacy of an elopement wedding
An elopement is a very private moment and, unlike a classic wedding ceremony, is characterized by a deep intimacy between the groom and the bride. It is the exchange of love promises by two lovers, with just the two of them as witnesses of the agreement that will accompany them for the rest of their lives: an experience that must be curated in every single detail to leave in their minds a vivid memory of a once-in-a-lifetime day.
The choice of the location plays a fundamental role, because it is the place that will frame the story you will want to relive again and again. For this reason, it’s crucial to have a professional team to help you into the arrangement of the event, from the organization to its heritage, with pictures and videos to treasure and share with who wasn’t there.

Island of Capri, a dream location for an elopement or wedding
Filming an elopement (or a wedding) is an extraordinary emotion also for a videographer: having the chance to narrate the renewal of the wedding promises of two soulmates from such an intimate and romantic point of view is something truly unique. When this magic meets an equally magical place like the island of Capri, off the shore of Gulf of Naples, it’s like having a perfect scenography for a moving and unforgettable movie.
The famous Faraglioni, rising from the blue sea like rocky skyscrapers, are the perfect synthesis of the marriage between sea and land. The same goes for the amazing Grotta Azzurra, an intimate and suggestive landmark attracting tourists from all over the world. Gemma and Matt could not dream of such a perfect place for their elopement, and having the chance to follow them through this journey to record this moment forever has been a fantastic experience.
The island of Capri is a true gem of the South of Italy and deserves some beautiful establishing shots: I couldn’t wait to capture this incredible view with my drone! Aerial shots are the only ones that can do justice to the beautiful panorama and catch the embrace between sky, land and sea: a charming and eternal image that made couples from all over the world – who chose it for their weddings and elopements – fall in love.

Elegance, panoramic view and starred cuisine at the Punta Tragara Hotel
The two spouses chose a location that allowed them to have a privileged point of view of this exceptional panorama: the Punta Tragara hotel. The structure overlooks the cliff right in front of the Faraglioni, gifting its guests a view that embraces the whole Amalfi Coast.
But Punta Tragara is not just a panoramic point: the hotel was designed in 1920 by Le Corbusier, an authentic icon of XX Century’s architecture. The architect developed his concepts of humanistic architecture during his trips to our beautiful country, drawing on our secular history and culture.
Our cultural heritage can’t be mentioned without talking about the culinary tradition, which makes Italy a privileged and world-famous destination. Also in this case, Punta Tragara is a real excellence: besides the rich restaurant & cocktail bar by the pool, which almost seems to merge with the sea underneath, the structure hosts two Michelin-starred restaurants, to embark its guests into a journey through unmatched flavors.

The iconic Italian Dolce Vita
The Hotel is an oasis of tranquility, shielded from the buzz of the crowd, but at the same time it’s incredibly close to the famous Capri’s piazzetta, the pulsing heart of the island, which has always attracted stars and viveur from all ages, from Maria Callas to Rihanna, passing through celebrity couples like Jennifer Lawrence and Ben Affleck.
Walking through the streets of Capri, you can breathe a sparkling and lively air of an equally thriving and lively island, where with every step you can stumble in a breathtaking glimpse: I really wanted to take pictures and record everything surrounding me, but I also had a great time even just following the spouses with a camera car during their trip on a vintage Fiat!
The streets of Capri, with their luxury boutiques, vintage cars and typical kiosk-bars, are the perfect place to sip a granita made with fresh lemons from Sorrento, and it’s not by chance that they have become a symbol of the Italian Dolce Vita, a charm that is still intact today.

Why it’s important to have a professional team
All of this beauty has to be savored and valued: the elopement formula is perfect for this, as the history and the beauty of the place intertwine with the story of the lovers. If you choose to seal your love in one of the most beautiful locations in the world, you really want to make sure everything goes for the best and to build an eternal memory: to do so it’s crucial to rely on a team of professional people that can handle the organization in every single detail, leaving nothing to chance, from planning to photography and videomaking.
Gemma and Matt chose a team of experts that made sure everything would be perfect for them, so that they wouldn’t have to worry about a thing but relax and enjoy their wonderful day in Capri. The planner (and photographer), Rochelle Cheever, arranged a spectacular trip on a vintage car through the streets of Capri and made sure that the most important moment would be truly unforgettable: the exchange of the wedding promises was celebrated by Iole just as a boat took the spouses through the Faraglioni.
The photographer, followed the two and captured every moment of their day: working with her, a true leader in the elopement business has been very inspiring for me. Working with a highly specialized team in general has been stimulating, an environment that really got the best out of me. I made some beautiful footage, in a amazing environment and with a couple deeply in love. When there’s harmony and expertise between colleagues, it really shows in the final product, which can be shown proudly to friends and family… who will surely want to book a flight for Capri as soon as possible!
